Ashore (2008). Gumasa, Sarangani, Mindanao
I happen to have a chance to go with some friends to tour around Gumasa. The area have white sand beaches and the people are friendly. Gumasa is part of Glan, Sarangani Province and it’s about 45 to 60 minutes from General Santos City. There are public jeepneys that travel this route but a private vehicle is recommended if you’re planning to go home by nightfall. If you’re planning to stay in Gumasa, there are also resorts like Reyes Beach with rooms and cottages for rent.
The sunrise comes up behind the hills and mountains of Glan, it may not be the best time to shoot landscapes but sunsets are at best very nice as the sun comes down at the horizon of Sarangani Bay.
