Some shots from my several visits in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. Lake Sebu is an ancestral land of the T’bolis, as well as the B’laans and other indigenous tribes. The name of the place came from one of the three big lakes located here, namely Lake Lahit, Lake Siloton and the largest of them, Lake Sebu. Tilapia raising is one of the main livelihoods here. There are also several resorts and restaurants, one of them is Punta Isla. Here you can order food, with their specialty no other than the Tilipia, freshly caught from the lake and can be prepared from fried, to sinugba, to ginataan, and to even tilapia chicharon, you name it.
Lake Sebu is about 2 hours from General Santos City. An hour from General Santos, you’ll pass by Koronadal City, the capital city of South Cotabato and another hour going up to Lake Sebu.
