Flow of Fire
February 3, 2009 | Landscapes | 1,140 views
I took this shot at London’s Beach resort. I was lucky enough to get a chance to shoot here since this beach is no longer a public beach, it was sold to an investor planning to convert this area into a manufacturing plant.
If you happen to pass by the highway going to Maasim, Sarangani Province, a signboard now says… “London Beach – hinde na beach” (London beach – not a beach anymore)
After shooting the beautiful sunrise, my buddies and I do the next thing we love… fishing. But that’s another story.

hinde na nga beach… and.. manufacturing plant?!?!
@jaa – some kind of a plant oil factory. start na sila nag tanim sa bandang likod until the highway.
Bakit artesian well nard? Hehehe! In fairness, I agree with Jes… when are you coming out with not so good photos?
:)

Awesome fiery skies bai! grabe ang kulay!
Really nice pics Leonard! I recognize the faucet in the middle of the water. :-) Good thing that place has a better use now.
@bariles – Definition ng artesian well – “An artesian well allows water to rise to the surface that has traveled through porous rock from a higher elevation. This pumpless well seems to defy gravity because the pressure that builds up between layers of rock gets relieved when the water finds a path to the open air.” ayan, alam mo na ang artesian well hehehe :P
@Lantaw – thanks bai! akala ko nga di na ako aabot sa golden hour tsaka weird yung rain cloud tapos biglang nawawala
@Cathy – thanks :) okay pa naman yung place, i just hope pag na industrialized na, they will ‘think green’ and take good care of the environment still.
Amazing Pictures Leonard!!! I wanna share this question to you since it depicts your art too.
“What if a singer lost her voice, What if a magician lost his hands, what if a photographer lost his eyes…Can there still be ART?”

Rea’s post: Presenting: THE EX-MEN!
@Nate Marx – i say yes… art is not measured, it is not bounded. Art can be anything.. a lowly crumpled and weathered leaf for example, can be nothing to someone else and at the same time an art to another soul.
It’s not the artist who defines art, but the one who experiences and comprehends the art itself.
@joshi daniel – thank you Josh, I have visited your site. Your portraits are emotionally striking :)
@Rea – hehe beach pa rin.. for now.
@Emily – thanks :)
ganda pagkakuha..sayang its no longer open for public..

I have never been to London Beach yet, in my 12 years here in General Santos City, and now, they are closing, does this mean, I wouldn’t have the chance anymore?
sheng’s post: Another year to make it 5 long years!
amazing picture! i love the colors from your photo. any chance you have photos here in Luzon area? thanks. http://mhaileon.blogspot.com
lemuel’s post: Travel in the Philippines
@raincindy – thanks.. on the other hand, mas dumami yung isda kasi wala nang masyado pollution from beach goers hehe
@sheng – dont worry, there are far better beaches than London around Sarangani Bay. Try 4ML beach, sa unahan lang, real white sand pa.
Greetings from Jakarta.
Your blog is Great! Wow!
The photos are wonderful.

Next time plurk fiesta, dalhin mo parin laptop mo ha. Tingin ako ulet ng pics mo. *demanding* Hahhaha
hehe sure
Is London Beach Resort really closed or closing pa lang? I haven’t gone home for years. I love that place!
It is now privately owned. Operations for the manufacturing facility is going on, last time I’ve heard they have started planting these shrubs that produce oil to be used as raw material.
ang ganda ng photoshop mo… ang lupet!
it’s NOT photoshop.. it is what it is
